After much deliberation, we've decided to change up the next Social Animal Class a bit and focus more on One On One with the students and their devices. We'll also be focusing on the most popular social media platforms, and save the strategies for other platforms for Social Animal 2, a more in depth course on Social Media. There are still some seats available for the April 28th course, so call T & G Concepts today if you'd like to reserve your space.

Class Announcement | Social Animal 1.2
I'm THRILLED to announce another Social Animal class in April! We will be going through what we learned in my previous Social Animal Class, but tweaked per the student surveys I collected after the last class. Every time I teach this class, I polish it up and make it better- so even if you've taken the class before; there is much to learn and review if you attend it again!

After the Class | Action Plan Worksheets
In our last Social Animal class, we were getting so down to the nitty gritty issues that our stylists were having, I wasn't able to spend a whole lot of time going over our action plan worksheets that were included in the class.
The worksheets were designed to organize your goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics in one easy to follow place.
The first page asks you to outline your Vision and Mission for your business. This will be the driving force behind all your marketing efforts. Anytime a marketing opportunity comes along, you can ask yourself if it aligns with your Vision and Mission, and it will help you weed out the best opportunities for your business. The first page also includes your short and long term goals for your business. The second page includes the objectives you must reach to achieve your goals, and the strategies in which you will complete your objectives. The third page includes the tactics, or tools, you will be using in order to carry out your strategies. An example of this "workflow" could be you will use HootSuite (tactic) to schedule daily Facebook updates that pertain to hair extensions (strategy) in order to build a strong online platform over the next three months (objective) in order to show your existing clientele that you are an expert in Hair Extensions and encourage them in interact with you on Facebook (goal) The last page includes a place to schedule out your social media efforts, and a sample schedule that you can follow. If you have any questions on these worksheets, feel free to send me an email to info@evolve-beauty.com!

After the Class | What's Next After Social Animal
I'm starting this new series, After The Class, to help the stylists that attended the Social Animal Class move forward and grow from here and implement the ideas we talked about in the class.
One of the main points I wanted to stress at the class is Research & Development. Researching your current clients and the clients you want to attract and finding out where they spend their time online is so important BEFORE trying to develop a social media strategy. You do not want to spend all this time working on your Pinterest marketing strategy just to find out that none of your clients are on Pinterest. Total waste of time and money. Find out WHAT platforms they are using, WHEN they are usually on social media, and HOW they use social media (on phones, desktops, tablets, etc) so you can know if you need to focus on creating mobile friendly content.
One way we talked about finding out this information is through a simple paper and pen "technology"- a Client Info Form. Every client that walks through your door should regularly be filling out this information, as email addresses change and social media favorites change. Just print out the form below and you're ready to start RESEARCHING so you can the DEVELOP your plan.

3 Instagram Accounts to Learn from
Instagram is growing fast and furiously, and I'll bet that many of your clientele or the clientele that you want to attract is on Instagram. If you haven't dived head first into this social media platform, there's no better time than the present. These are my three favorite beauty feeds that are offering consistent, quality content to their audience on Instagram.
1// SNMAKEUP
This is a Phoenix based makeup artist that works with a lot of photographers, so she has a beautiful curated collection of images and behind-the-scenes shoot peeks that keep her feed on point. There are also a lot of great selfies that keep her readers connected to her personally and see how she interprets beauty trends on herself.
2//Jen Atkins Hairstylist
This is a stylist to the stars, but any stylist can easily replicate her instagram strategy and take iphone photos of your clients post-style and write in the products you used on them with an app like Phonto or Rhonna Designs.
3// Drybar
One of my favorite beauty brands due to their brand quality control and consistence and unique, quirky personality. Their instagram feed is curated to appeal to their ideal client.
